The much anticipated Festival of Words fortnight is soon
approaching! This event is taking place from 9th to 23rd
February, and is the final event for the season of LACE:HERE:NOW.
There are so many reasons to be excited for this event, some
of which we saw in October’s preview evening with Peter Clayton form the
Leicester Print Workshop. If you missed this exciting evening, be sure to check
out the video here http://youtu.be/66a3RaZMkIc
Perhaps the most exciting result of the Festival of Words is
the very spectacular collaboration between Debbie Bryan Studio & Shop, and
the Leicester Print Workshop, to bring you Narrative
2013!
This brilliant showcase, between 9th February and
6th April, will feature a wonderful collection of prints, centred on
the themes of Lace and Love, which are themes both suited to Nottingham’s
heritage and the month of February (Valentine’s Day!)
These fabulous prints have been created by Sally Hill, Peter
Clayton and Sat Kalsi, whom also created the elegant logo for this collection.
A spin-off of Narrative 2013 will be on sale at Nottingham Castle, in the
Debbie Bryan Heritage cabinets, and will be something not to miss!
There are many more posts to come which we hope will get you
excited about some of the wonderful events with Debbie Bryan during the
Nottingham Festival of Words, such as a pop-up book shop with Lowdham Bookcase,
a talk at Nottingham Trent University’s Newton building with Hannah Lobley of
Paperworks and the aforementioned Peter Clayton, an altered book workshop with Manon
de Moor, more from Debbie Brayn Heritage, as well as works from many talented
writers, designer and artists, such as Penelope Ruth. Watch this space!
