Nottingham Lace

We're very excited to be introducing a new range of Nottingham Lace inspired goodies on Sunday 10th October!

As part of Nottingham's Creative October, we are hosting a Sunday Tea Party this Sunday 10th October. The shop will be open from 12.00 pm to 5.00 pm, and lovely tea and cakes will be served 2.00 pm - 3.00 pm.

At 2.30pm there will be a talk about the early development of Nottingham Lace and the hand frame era from Mr. Henry Hurt MBE, from the award winning Chilwell Lace-knit manufacturer.

J.C.Middlebrook will be showing Nottingham Lace inspired contemporary craft, including delicate bookmarks, doilies and napkin sets. Each is made by hand in Nottingham, and we are really pleased to be stocking them as they'll make fantastic gifts! Jayne will be on hand to show you her work and some of the pieces she is developing for next year.

Designer Spotlight - Lighting Designers

We are often told by interior designers that lighting can make or break a room design. Luckily for us, two very talented lighting designers are showing their products at Debbie Bryan Studio and Shop.

Hannah Nunn is a well known designer, her lamps use silhouetted designs with organic shapes to play with light and shade. From £55

Sarah Turner creates lamps from discarded plastic bottles, reusing what we would normally throw away to make beautiful lamps and shades. You would never recognise the orginal material when you see the finished product! From £99

We are proud to showcase the ceramic designers featured in Debbie Bryan Studio and Shop.

Lucianna Galucci - Lucianna's workshops are inspiring and reveal the creative process behind her lace inspired ceramics. Lucianna designs tiles, bowls and brooches from £5 to £25

Julia Davey
- Julia's refined tableware has simple designs, featuring animals, birds and seaside themes. The collection ranges from brooches at £12 to teapots at £36.

Smashing Chintz - We love the way Smashing Chintz creates new decorative pieces from broken ceramics. Brooches (good enough to eat) from £28 and Wall Art £68 to £170

Kate McBride
- Kate McBride has been a popular addition to the designers at the Shop. Her delicate tea-sets are embellished with frothy flowers, lace and figures. A great twist on an English tea time! Cup and saucer sets from £50

Katie Almond
- The hand crafted porcelain made by Katie Almond are both delicate and beautiful. Inspired by ephemera and vintage patterns, the collection includes brooches from £12, cups, jugs and vases from £28 to £76.

Samantha Robinson-Samantha works with a subtle combination of ceramics, metals and textiles to produce an exciting and creative take on commonplace objects: buttons, earrings, necklaces & ceramic gift boxes.

Nottingham's Lace Market

We are lucky to be located in the heart of Nottingham's Lace Market Area. As you can see from these images, the charatcer of the Lace Market is still intact. Like most cities, Nottingham has developed very rapidly in recent years. Many of the old factories have been redeveloped into flats and restaurants, but you can see the heritage if you look closely enough!

Of course, all roads lead eventually to our welcoming little Studio and Shop!
