New collections from Suet Yi

We've received new ceramic work from Suet Yi.  Each thoughtful piece is individual.  She 'explores beauty and simplicity from her love of the countryside and innocence of childhood.  Her hand-painted plates and hand-built miniatures focus on the balance of colour and space which features an unusual and nostalgic side of contemporary art'.  Visit her website for more information or pop into the shop to see the full selection!

Building on our heritage...

The Debbie Bryan Heritage range will be growing in the New Year with a collection of Irish Linen Tablecloths & Napkins... embroidered with details inspired by our vintage lace patterns.

We are also planning a special collection with appliqued Nottingham Lace, and a collection of Irish Linen Scarves with lace pattern inspired embroidery, in traditional and hand dyed colours.

And that's not forgetting our tablecloth collection, which will be expanding too with new Nottingham Lace patterns... All coming in the New Year.

Light Night 2012

We're taking part in Light Night again on Friday 10th February 2012, showcasing the very best of UK lighting designers from 6pm with collections from Stella Corrall, Hannah Nunn, Laura Slater, Laura Olivia and Sarah Turner.

We're going to set up our Pop-Up Tea Room to keep everyone refreshed... serving tea, coffee and scrummy homemade cakes baked with local organic ingredients... so you can pause to admire our vintage draft lace drawings, Nottingham Lace samples, and lace inspired collections from Katie Almond, J.C. Middlebrook and Jason Holroyd to name just a few!

It promises to be a spectacular night! So pop it in your diary now!

New Goodies!

We've got lots of new work for your viewing (and purchasing) pleasure... All here in time for Christmas!

Craig Fellows has added to his collection at the shop and dropped off some delightful mini purses. At only £10, they make perfect stocking fillers!  And he's got gift wrap and cards covered too!

Textile Jewellery Designer Betty Pepper has gifted us with a new collection of jewellery and framed collaged textile pieces... including some featuring her popular butterflies like the one below...

And we have brand spanking new work from Lucy Anne Harding
Lucy is a contemporary artist working across both textile and ceramic mediums.  Her whimsical elongated illustrations celebrate traditional trades, such as the milk man, under threat from supermarket chains.  We have a collection of her framed embroidered illustrations and illustrated mugs, complete with embroidered mug cosy and gift bag.
